2021-02-16 05:28 28834278 Anonymous The BTC problem (pink doomer.jpg 373x320 58kB)
Why is the entire crypto ecosystem still being shackled by this ancient dinosaur?
The tech behind BTC is outdated. It's like the Nokia of phones in mid-2000s. There's already alt-phones developed that far outstrip Nokia in all aspects.
Yet Nokia is still commanding a great share of the market.
Why?
How do we kill BTC once and for all?
Co-existence is not an option.
BTC needs to die.

BTC is digital peer to peer cash.
Everything else is just jury rigged software that doesn't require tokenization. This includes eth.

Because all these newer cryptos don’t do anything different from Bitcoin. It’s all promises of smart contracts and shit that has no real application and no working model. Bitcoin has ascended into ‘digital gold’ tech doesn’t even matter at this point, it’s an asset.

All that gay shit your shitcoins do? Guess what: it doesn't need to be a blockchain, and it doesn't need to be decentralized.

crypto is a zero-sum game when it comes to bitcoin and competitors to bitcoin. one will eventually reign supreme and all others go to zero. there's no reason to have a multitude of clones.

Because BTC is a big old clumsily stomping and loudly farting, burping and roaring dinosaur. You can see and hear it from two miles away and what it offers is dependability and predictability which makes it ideal as value storage for boomers. BTC will soon be a stablecoin bouncing up and down between 100K and 150K. It's digital boomer gold which will eventually be hedged to make it even less risky.

>doesn't understand that it's a completely decentralized network running piggybacking code to disperse the power that has become increasingly centralized since the dot com bubble and take society into a new golden age of internet where anybody can make money by helping to facilitate services not limited to finance

Because it only serves as a decentralized store of value and doesn't pretend to do anything else. The tech was entirely new so there are no hyper-whales (except Satoshi), it has the momentum and name that has become synonymous with crypto, and no one is even trying to replace it because they're not retarded.

The name is worth its price. You're right that its outdated, but if you ask anyone about crypto the first thing they think of is bitcoin. It cemented as being the crypto in cryptocurrency, something not easily changed, especially with Elon and the rest of the elite backing this shit. Maybe if eth overtakes the value things could actually change, but it just doesn't have the brand recognition or backers to do so

>You're right that its outdated
The fact that it's "outdated" is irrelevant. No other coin has been attacked as much as Bitcoin, by politicians, governments, whales, hackers etc. and that proven robustness and security in the real world is worth far more than faster tx times or lower fees.

Works like this, retard
you can trade crypto for native currency, btc or eth. You can also trade btc and eth for native currency. If the cost of a crypto drops or gains against one, or the other, trading bots ran by smarter people than you arbitrate the differences until they balance out.
Most of the rest of the crypto market is tied to BTC/ETH because most of the rest of the crypto market can trade for fiat/btc/eth. If, you say, started adding exchanges where people could buy their crypto with nano instead of BTC/ETH/USDT, so like NANO/GRT, NANO/LINK, etc, you would begin to see nano have a dictative effect on the market as a whole.
1 hours later 28838749 Anonymous
>>28838262
Not really. You can buy quite a few alts with fiat, but BTC is the only one that dictates the market. We've never seen an ETH selloff cause BTC to tank for example. Or any other alt for that matter.

1 hours later 28839592 Anonymous
>>28839408
Doubtful. If a government actually tried that it would almost certainly be for the purpose of attacking another nation financially, so other governments would increase their hash power in order to counter it. People talk about how Bitcoin isn't really centralized because muh China, but it could become more decentralized in an instant if need be.
