4 min later 28832787 Anonymous
Seems to me like your trying to swing some quick cash. Jumping into Nokia was not a bad idea, but that’s a loooong term hold. If you are expecting quick $$$, then you are losing. You already bought into GTR, don’t sell at a loss. Be patient. Always remember, if you don’t sell, you don’t lose money. You need to be stoic and not get emotional at dips.

Don't sell for a loss unless you need the cash, don't invest unless it has a long term growth potential (in case you miss the pump and are left holding the bags, you need to be confident that you'll stay have a payday, it'll just be a few months to a year out) DON'T BUY INTO SHILL TOKENS WITHOUT LEARNING ABOUT IT'S USE CASE THE TOKEN SHOULD HAVE AN ARGUMENT TO BUY IN BEYOND "IT'S GOING TO PUMP" THERE SHOULD BE A REASON WHY THAT'S UNIQUE TO THAT TOKEN THAT MEETS SOME MARKET NEED, LIKE LINK OR GRT OR ETH

My cousin is in a similar situation to yours (got into crypto a little too late to see quick gains, living in a small basement apartment with two kids and his wife). It can be difficult, but patience and research almost always pay off in the end. GRT should go back up after the whales and their bots are done shaking the tree.

You kind of need to have some sense of stability to start. I don't mean that you need big money. But stop trying to live like somebody making more money than you are. If you can't afford to gamble with big money then don't do it. Make safe plays, not meme 500x coins on margin that will crash to zero tomorrow. Set goals for how much you want to be making but be realistic about it. After a few years you should have a little more money you can play with. Keep making safe bets that have big returns long term. They will pay more consistently and better over that long period than the memes.

We were in GRT too, also ALGO, Tezos, ADA, and NuCypher. I plan on buying back in to all of those during big dips in the very near future. They're great projects with real backing and investors. Can't see GRT seriously tanking in a permanent way.
34 min later 28834584 Anonymous
>>28832556
Seconding what another anon said about GRT. Don't sell it. It's going to take a long time for it to seem worth it but eventually you'll be glad you did. Try to consider that money gone and lost. Come back in 3 years and see what you have. If it's less, you learned a lesson. If it's more, you can learn a lesson on patience.
34 min later 28834595 Anonymous
Be careful and smart. Lot of smarter people are in this.
Timing is everything. Don't chase coins that have already gained. The majority of anons who share alt coins are only sharing coins they already have bags of. (I also am a shitcoin hodler).
don't put anything in crypto that you aren't willing to watch go to zero. If you can't do that, don't play.

Just don't buy $ROPE when it's a month later and we finally break past $2.80. You really have to remove emotion from these plays. Assume that any money you invest has already gone to zero and you're literally never going to get it back. Does that scare you? Can you not afford that? Then don't invest that money. Once you're ok with seeing that money vanish into thin air, the next step is to only invest in things that you think will eventually go up in the long term. Don't chase small percent fluctuations. The amount of time you spend swing trading you might as well have just gotten a second job. You'd make more money.

Throw it into a high yield etf on robinhood, ideally one with a compelling history over the past year. I’m about $20k in the Renaissance IPO ETF. Then wait a month. Or, if you’d like, yolo it on some shitcoin and toss a quarter

If you’re unsure of what a high yield etf is, just research it a bit. You’re basically buying shares of a professional team’s portfolio. They take as many risks as are necessary to make great gains, but diversify to ensure solid support. When people get rich they invest their money in these to replace having a job

Dollar cost average. Buy a set amount every certain amount of time. Over time the price will fluctuate but your average price will likely be better than trying to "wait for a better price". The idea is that you can't predict the future. Time in the market is better than timing the market.

Patience grows on you the older you get. If you’ve done your due diligence on something then don’t react to swings in price and sit tight. It’s people that are impatient that cause these swings in the first place. Also, if you’re expecting to get rich over night, you’re gonna fail no matter what. Anyone sharing their made it story is a rare instance that will make you gamble on something you shouldn’t have, and the negative and abundant stories round out the perfect storm to make you sell something you shouldn’t be. But again, do your due diligence and don’t be impatient. Just cause a bunch of trolls or pump and dump poos say it’s a guaranteed 100x doesn’t make it one.
Tl;dr if you do your own research and be patient you will come out ahead. Convince yourself to buy something don’t let someone else convince you.

I get it, I grew up really poor and was just working dead end jobs through my 20s. I was desperate and I wasted a lot of money looking for a get rich quick scheme that whole time. You know what actually worked? I started picking up side freelance work and ended up doing those sites where you can test software like uTest and test.io and Bugfinders. I just did a really good job in those and made enough money to pay off my debt and save some more up.
Eventually I got enough skills to put on my resume to get a better job. And that job had tuition assistance so I went to school and got my degree and now I make 6 figures. It was a long slow climb up, it took me 8 years to be successful but things got better gradually along the way too. I have a modest house and an emergency fund, and like 100k in my 401k and then a fairly shitty crypto portfolio for fun.
You can get there but the answer is really just hard work. Take care of your life stuff first and then buy into investments. Don't worry about missing the bullrun or whatever, there will always be a next big thing even in down markets. You can do all that later though. Just work hard on improving your situation and the rest will follow.

Just like any board dealing with the markets, good tips come up and bad tips come up. Sometimes people shill a stock or coin just because they got in too high and want it to pump so you can be left holding their bags. If you see something that interests you, research it. What is their target price? What kind of volume are they getting? Is the company showing a consistent positive return, is it all over the place or is it consistently bad? What does Zacs say about it? What are other market advisors saying about it? Do they consider the stock under valued? Is it a recommended buy? When you decide to pull the trigger avoid the morning when the markets are chaotic. Things usually settle down around noon and you might see a dip. Sometimes you see a sell off right before market close and get another dip if it's a stock or coin that people are pumping and dumping. Learn to read candlestick charts to notice when a trend is changing and try to hit the dip. If the stock or coin is legitimate hold it until you get a return even if you mistime the dip. If it doubles sell half to get your money back and keep the rest in for any further profit. If it tanks don't sell unless you absolutely need the money. Remember, you don't ever lose money until you sell.

Christ, so many pricks here. Listen up OP. I stopped my meal jsut to write this so you better read the whole damn thing.
If you're that poor, buy some chink shit on Aliexpress and flip it on Depop or whatever secondhand selling platform is in your country.
Back when I was poor af I did this and eventually made enough to get quite comfortable. I highly, highly recommend getting things that do not expire, are small, and evergreen (non-seasonal). Jewellery is a very good option since you can pretty much double/triple the price. Another suggestion would be tech accessories that don't have electronic parts like foldable laptop stands, phone cases, or whatever. People are willing to spend more on things that make them look good, or things that align with their identity.
Do your own research and don't just buy like a retard, obviously. If you have no ideas, think of a store nearby that got shut down by COVID but used to be very popular/stayed there for a long time. There's your niche.
IMO most of the alts have already pumped and this bullrun is near the end so x10s or x100s are fewer and fewer.
If you plan on being a chink product reseller, don't use the same photos you find on Aliexpress. I assume you have a smartphone with a decent camera and access to the outside. Take good photos. It'll allow you to mark up the price considerably. I've sold the exact same shit as other sellers but what made people buy my stuff were my photos.
It'll take a lot longer than looking at stocks, but it's a lot safer. If nothing sells on one platform, try another or spam facebook groups.
Here you go. Your life sounds like it sucks and I hope things get better for you.

ETH is good advice. And why do you care if it is expensive? You don't have to buy one full ETH. It might fall in price, but it will definitely grow over time. Same with BTC, RSR and LINK. ETH is going to release the 2nd version this year. Just buy the 4 cryptocurrencies I mentioned and just hold them.
If you DCA into it then it doesn't matter what price it is. DCA removes a lot of the effect of price fluctuations. If is great when you don't know if it will go down or up.

Anon, if you are still monitoring this thread then don’t listen to the retards shitting on you. Learning to invest can be hard and making mistakes is part of the process. I would recommend taking time to really study crypto and learn it inside and out. Read the bitcoin and ethereum white papers, listen to lectures on YouTube, watch some coins here moon/crash and figure out what made ones like Chainlink win while others flamed out. Learn about crypto bull cycles so you get better at timing tops and bottoms. Building wealth takes a lot of work and focus. I know it can be hard when you live in a bad situation, but dig deep and find inner focus.
Also if you’re aping into shitcoins at least buy RSR, it’s a good project with a lot of heavyweights who have a vested interest in making it succeed.
