One of the smartest men in the world, who predicted the 2008 financial crash and made billions, is investing in water. A fast depleting resource which will be a huge cause of conflict, will create millions of refugees, and be the cause of general global unrest in the coming decades. Why aren't you investing in water anon?

man, I live and work in regional Aus and have a bit to do with rural water corps. Water is cooked, legitimately. Big business has already driven the price of water up to the point where farmers are either selling their land "dry" to overseas chink farmers, or roping.
I don't know enough about to have a valid or informed opinion, but the unrest you speak of is already happening.

https://westernwatermarket.com/
This is likely the future. Not a very good exchange right now, but in some places in California, there are water districts that may allow you to sell off your water allocations. The long strategy would be to buy up properties in states like California that have water allocations, such as ground water or surface water, and then instead of use that allocation for yourself, lease or sell off your allocations for a higher price.

No, he's not. Tired of you r*ddit fags watching The Big Short and falling for this disinfo. Burry looked into water scarcity ajd decided it's too hard to speculate on directly for political reasons. He ended up briefly investing in farm land, mostly almond farms since they are water intensive. He got out of that years ago. In the past year, he lost huge oj his biggest position, TLRD. He recouped some of that witj GME but we won't know until the 13f.

In California/western US, this is a very real issue that we have. Now that water futures can be traded on the open market, conceivably if the drought out here continues, water would become very expensive, especially now that contracts are being traded on the open market.
