Looking to read some intelligent and disparate opinions, including relevant data points if possible, as to why this is just the beginning, as opposed to it being the tippy top.

I don't have anything generic to say to what you are talking about OP, so have some images. If you have something that feels more specific then I could talk about it.

MY thesis >brand new sector, no tradition rules apply, besides human irrationality >crypto flat until '17 at which point it moons and becomes volatile, rather than going back to post pump flat, indicated growing interest >funds buying and celebrities shilling coins, either they are pumping to dump their shit on you, or they are literally the proof of incoming mainstream adoption >everyone I speak to knows someone that dabbles in crypto, wait until it's everyone I speak to dabbling themselves! >>28577687 10d SF multiple is still divergent from 463d SF multiple after halving. Those values have always converged and that convergence has always been accompanied by rising prices. >but I don't like this model Good. This metric is independent of price. I know many of you consider this modeled as a price function to be a meme. Fine if you do. The tendency for SF to approach 1 is not. I've grown tired of spoonfeeding this desu. You might also consider what the % change from the prior ATH to the next ATH was in each of the macro cycle tops. You might calculate a standard deviation of these values and then the probability that the price tops at the current level versus some other level. You might account for logarithmically diminishing returns in your calculation and still arrive at higher prices. You might calculate the standard deviation of returns through any timeframes and the probability of whatever outcome you think will happen happening. You might go to USGS and find the tonnage of surface gold in the world and then value it at the current spot. You might find the dollar value of bitcoin demand and the dollar value of gold demand for investment purposes over the past ten years and use them to forecast future levels. You might then combine this forecast with the expected decline in the rate of bitcoin supply expansion and come to a valuation. You might find out it agrees with the technical assessment. Or you might do none of this and continue telling us how wrong we are.

>>28578989 Markets are positive in nature. You supposition is normative. There is no "should" but only a "what is." Bitcoin is dominating because the market currently values it greater than all other crypto assets. Reasons why this happened could be that it's older than the rest and has had longer to capitalize and is more familiar to people. >>28579241 Case in point. Before anyone says muh whitepaper understand it doesn't matter what the whitepaper says. It matters how people interpret the product. Computers were invented to perform calculations.
