Ada can handle a block time as low as 0.5s and can have first block finality with ledger combinator https://eprint.iacr.org/2020/675.pd f which makes the whole "sub-second finality" argument of avax virtually useless. There is also the fact that in avax, only a logarithmic number of network participants validate Txs whereas in ada all stake pools validate all transactions. Avax being leaderless is good for lots of things, but has the downside of making it more complicated to implement cross-shard atomic Tx. Avax isn't as censorship resistant as nakamoto.
I wouldn't trust governmental structures or decentralized banks running on avax for many other reasons. Avalanche is not the end of Nakamato, both complement each others well imo.

I agree avalanche protocol and nakamoto are complementary, but a LOT of features currently running on nakamoto will be much faster, more efficient and cheaper once they are migrated to avalanche.

You are not trying to understand the point. Basically, in avax, if nodes don't have an opinion on the validity of a tx they will just adopt the result of their sampling. This means that the weight of a vote isn't as profound as a full-history checking on Nakamto.

Nakamoto + sharding can go as high as 1,000,000 tps with <1s finality. The main selling points of avalanche of being asynchronous, leaderless and network optimal, don't matter for users who only care about highly secure and future-proof dapps. Avax validators can't be anonymous, which is a huge issue for ddos attacks and privacy (https://avascan.info/staking/valid ator/NodeID-PsvKeYaRPr1KepAfRS1ZiKS ExCGmoNPhP). I want a safe store of value, not a network battlefield.
I'm not even talking about all the research on zk-snark that might make avalanche scaling looks meh in comparison (instant block synchronization, offline smart-contracts, anonymous tx and voting, ...)
