I've only been in crypto 4 days but it already feels like 4 months. I constantly check my portfolio, my sleep routine is fucked up, and I keep worrying that market can crash at literally any second and all my shitcoins will become worthless in few minutes. How do you guys cope with that feeling? What helps you sleep at night? I know that sell orders are a thing, but is there any other way to secure my funds?

It's normal to feel like this. Just remember that this kind of worrying always looks retarded in retrospect. You'll see it for yourself if you stick with it. Also stay mindful of the scale you're looking at. Oftentimes a graph will look fucking terrible if it's set to a short interval. But then you realize it's "swinging" by half a cent, and if you scale out realize you've been obsessing over half a cent.

>>28012157 Maybe because you're playing with a literally ticking fucking time bomb with no fundamental basis for its absurdly high value? Why do you think everyone else is 'investing' in crypto? They're doing it to make money and they ONLY do that if people believe it's going to go up. If suddenly people stop believing that it's going to go up then it'll dump. Why do people believe it's either going to go up or down? Literally just general sentiment they see online or how they think the line on the chart is doing. Actual traders who know what they're doing have their portfolio set up so that nothing can destroy them even if it goes to zero, meaning they can sleep at night because they aren't gambling all of their savings. Understand that everyone shilling crypto ALWAYS has a vested interest in that crypto going up and that the only way for that crypto to go up is to get other people into it. Maybe it goes up, maybe it goes down. Nobody knows and nobody can give you a good reason why it should. It's gambling. No one is here to help you make money.

>>28015103 Early on in a bull run you can accumulate and check it periodically knowing it won't drop another 60%. Don't bother with ethereum shitcoins, you can easily get trapped with low liquidity and high gas fees. Diversify into 5 or so coins; defi, DOT/ATOM/AVAX, BTC(store of value), LINK/BAND/maybe GRT, and something you DYOR on and like for example ALGO, FTM, BNT, NU

Some basic guidlines: 1. Always put in more than you think you can lose. If you think that you can gamble a little more. Put it in. You'll never get to middle class hedging your bets. 2. Diversity diversity diversity. Look for multiracial ethnic and gendered groups of designers. The more Indians and lesbians on a project the better. (Theyre good at tech). 3. Since crypto is decentralized you don't have to pay taxes on it. Don't waste yout time filling out forms when you could be investing. 4. Use a secure line when making transactions, 56/k is safest. Anything higher puts you at risk for having your entire wallet stolen. 5. If it sounds too good to be true, buy it.

>>28012157 Easy, move all your shitcoin into btc and wait for 10 years The market is full of holders, they won’t sell BTC at any price, they won’t fall for stupid fud Math and decentralization will obviously win against fiat Fiat already started bleed purchasing power and it’s accelerating at increasing speed BTC started “quantitative hardening” and it can only go up against fiat

>>28012940 Also, I invest every take home penny I don't need. About $200 a week after living expenses and taxes. Buying a home this spring so my mortgage payment will be lower than my current rent, that + equity will lead to more invested each week. As long as your portfolio is solid you'll be okay. I've been in link since 2017 and I still throw money at it. I also have bought REN and GRT a few times, so far they've paid off but I'm still not sold on long term viability for either. They seem neat though and Defi/Web3 is the place to be for altcoins this season
