9 min later 27931105 Anonymous
>this fucking thread ngmi To OP, it depends where you live. Cashing out means taxes in most countries, in others holding until e.g. after a year means you go tax-free. If that does not matter, then you diversify, like anyone same does above 100-200k. Not just within crypto, but also stocks and possibly other investment vehicles. Possibly small real estate too but don't overdo it otherwise it'll end up making up >25% of your portfolio and returns are shit.

Do you actually need to sell anything? I have like $100k in crypto now, up from basically nothing last year, and I kind of want to cash out like...$3k to pay my rent for the next months and stress a bit less about bills. I'm a freelancer and want to take some time off. But I really don't see a reason to sell more than that. Like what am I going to do with 100k? Pay capital gains tax on it and then...put a down payment on a house? I already own everything else I want. Meh.

>>27934259 At the moment the reason I am so bullish on eth is because of just HOW many coins rely on the ethereum infrastructure, you remove that from the picture you take a huge amount of crypto currencies out. While my portfolio is more BTC than eth that’s because I have thag in cold storage and really don’t want to touch it, my eth has outperformed any other coins in the long term since 2015, all the other coins pump and dump while eth is hitting new high daily at the moment. I’m sure a dump will come once more but at the moment I can’t see that anytime soon.
