2013 Bitcoiner and 30 yr old boomer here.(2x as much wisdom) AMA
just buy BTC, it's that easy. If you want to buy anything else, recognize you are gambling, if you are acknowledging you are gambling here are my gambits:
STA
XRP
BAT
FTM
GRO
PNK

Should peak around 220k Dec 2021, I believe this cycle to be different and we will NOT experience the traditional ~85% pullback, and will rather be a muted bear market, with a pullback of 60-40% putting us at a bottom of 100kish in 2022-2023
2025 - 900k peak
2032 - 3 million USD

To be frank, the environment is changing, institutions are not going to be buying shitcoins, I expect after Saylor's presentation, companies are accumulating. Also explains the bizarre BTC price rise, when dominance was falling and eth/btc was rising. But I look for a white/white-asian team, github activity, good fundamentals (total supply, distribution, etc), a little bit of the name/logo (gotta dump on normies), Wallet address and growth, whale activity, I could go on, but I think after defi, shitcoin days may be taking a big dive.
>>27883155
But you bought back in, right anon?
>>27883253
Be thankful you have early exp, just buy as much as you can, and DCA untill you make it, you can do low leverage longs to help speed it up.

1 hours later 27884231 Anonymous
>>27883922
It basically means taking out a loan (though not in a formal sense) so you can buy more crypto than your actual cash balance would allow. The downside is you have to pay some interest on what you borrow, and if your trade goes bad, you lose more than you otherwise would. For instance if you leverage 1:10 then you borrow 10x as much as you have but if the price drops by 5% you lose half and if it drops by 10% you lose everything

Defi is the narrative this cycle. CRV is arguably the most overvalued one of them all.
MRK
COMP
ALPHA
UNI

If I have to explain anything to you, I recommend staying away, I've seen people lose significant portions of their portfolio fucking with leverage trading. Just buy the 1 BTC on kraken, and throw it in cold storage.

Yes it is, although lots of people do it with normal stocks. 20:1 is not uncommon. It's why financial crises/crashes happen so quickly; all these firms are leveraged to the hilt so if prices start falling then everyone is scrambling to sell to avoid catastrophic loss

1 hours later 27884855 Anonymous
>>27884486
So then what would that mean for the stability of bitcoin? Have we moved past the point of huge drops after the peak? I would think if we have no meteoric drop after the exponential rise, we wouldn't be able to move up to the next level of let's say 160,000 per btc.
