Be real with me. Is this actually possible within the next few years? Are you currently still accumulating or just holding/waiting?

$10K is pure fud

I've been DCAing since 2016. $500 every 2 weeks. I am now a very rich man.

it's happening this year. i don't have much ETH in my wallet because I think other coins will outperform it, but after I make it I'll be staking 32 ETH for passive income
2 min later 27850903 Anonymous
Its quite likely. It gained 700% last year no reason it cant do it again with ETH upgrades on the horizon.
Especially when you consider that defi and staking is locking up tons of eth and taking them out of circulation.

just so you know
bitcoin reaching 500k even at current ratios would be a 25k eth
10k is fud in the same way youd think that xmr won't be 1000, everything just drags up naturally with btc anyway
will we exceed 0.05 BTC per ETH tonight?
i think so

I think 10k is hard to predict but we're hitting $2.5k by March so who knows. I also didn't expect my aave to get inadvertently shilled by Jews and suicidal redditors and skyrocket but here we are.

If you run under the assumption that the bull run will mirror 2017, and we are in the equivalent of early 2017, ETH did over a 30x from here til last ATH. I don’t think it’s gonna 30x, but I think a 5-10x is definitely possible.

10 percent per year? Honestly not that much for 32eth especially after the crash

say more people stake and it goes down to 5%, but it goes up to $10k/ETH, that's $16k passive income for a 32 ETH stake. if you're staking LINK and some other shitcoins on top of that you have multiple streams of passive income.

Also whenever /biz/ tell you that it will never go above or below a certain price ever again or for a long time, expect the complete opposite to occur. People were saying this shit about their coins right before the Jan 11th dip.
1 hours later 27856834 Anonymous

Staking is sure to drive prices up. With PoW you have a significant consistent sell off from miners covering the costs of their mining operations, with PoS you will have people buying ETH to participate in it. The incentive flips around completely, from selling to buying. How can it not moon, even if you ignore everything else

>this cycle
Imagine thinking there are cycles to this. This isn't a cycle, this is people realizing that USD is being made worthless, seeing a huge bubble in stock market, seeing how little you can make with bonds, seeing shiny rocks not being able to keep up with inflation and making the only sane choice of parking their money in crypto. There is no cycle.
1 hours later 27857484 Anonymous
>>27856411
Problem there is that it ignores the market cycle. I do hope we see a peak at 10k. But not even the most deluded moonboy thinks it's going to sustain a 10k price.
If you lock up your ETH for staking, by the time you can unlock it for profit, we'll be well past the bull run, deep into the depths of despair of the bear market. That 5-10% APY doesn't mean shit if we see another situation where it loses 90% of its value from the peak.
And then consider the fact that lending platforms and defi already exist, and they give similar or BETTER APY than staking will, without needing to lock up your shit for 2 years or whatever they're saying.

When people say shit like this Im genuinely curious, do you believe it? Like look at what happened to crypto in March you fucking midwit. Crypto is tied to all other financial instruments, it's just more volatile. You really think during a market crash in the US that people would park their cash in a highly volatile speculative asset? Don't get me wrong I believe in Bitcoin and think it SHOULD be a hedge but that isn't fucking reality man. I don't know what you're smoking to believe this

Exactly. I said this in a thread yesterday. joe KIKENSTEINberg does not give a fuck about the power of blockchain or ethereum or smart contracts. He is a boomer that sees some computer code that generates no revenue with zero assets or balance sheet and he will short it into oblivion. Ethereum will become mainstream one day, but not in 2021. Sorry that is reality

this is a good point, i'm not sure i agree that we're going to dump into oblivion but one thing to keep in mind is that you give up all of your liquidity the second you deposit your ETH into the staking contract.
