No not a double spend.

>>26297312 No, it was two valid blocks submitted at the same time for the same height causing a temporary fork. This happens and a longer chain is created in a block. >>26297524 As can be seen here, length 100+ vs length 1.

To the noobs who don't understand double-spending, its not that bad. It just means that we're going to have to wait for more blocks to be safe. Bitcoin transactions will take a bit longer to be considered safely settled. At the end of the day the double spend stiffs one of the recipients of the coin, but there's only one spend in the final settled blockchain. In orther words, two people briefly think they both hold the coins, but at the end of the day, only one of them gets to keep the coins.

To those faggots who say "why the fuck does does bitcoin take so long to process my transactions" this is why. Because when she like this happens it needs to be confirmed or else it simply doesn't work.

>>26298968 there are other blockchain technologies that can do all of this but much much faster and with much more efficiency XRP is probably the best example of this and thats why it is so interesting for banks its also centralized which makes it better for banks but it still carries the decentralized ledger nature i dont really see why they wont crash the whole crypto markets besides XRP and other related coins like XLM
