but I deserve the freedom to sell part of my stack at the peak later this year and then buy back in to increase my holdings without immediately taking a 43% loss. It is completely retarded to hodl through another 80% tank after the end of the bull run later this year.

So let's say I sell 250k worth of btc later this year, which is 240k profit. I would have to pay 43 percent tax on the 240k at the end of the year right?

Portfolio worth $150k December 31 2021.
You now owe 40% of that $50k. Better sell some of that TSLA stock

I am not sure, but I think if you reinvest it immediately you don't have to pay gains tax on it until you take it out for good. It could be different for crypto, but if that's how it worked then stock day traders couldn't exist.

so it seems that you have to have an income of 1mil to get taxed capital gains
that cant be true?
1 hours later 26291533 Anonymous
I read his tax plan proposal. It is weird as fuck, but probably won't affect Biz.
He's suggesting making cap gains tax included in income tax. He's incrasing the highst bracket (400k+) from 30 something % to 40%. He's also adding on payroll tax increases on wages over 400k.
Most of you are neets or are wage slaves and basically make $0 in income after standard deduction, and don't pay any payroll tax or barely any.
If you make 450k in short term gains this year, then 50k is taxed at 40%, the rest is taxed in the equivalent tax brackets as income.
The unrealized cap gains shit is weird. I don't see how Wallstreet lets that slide though, they were Bidens biggest donors after all.

The real killer I found in his tax plan isnt related to income but putting 15% minimum corporate tax. This might absolutely fuck many small businesses that barely scraped thru covid. This plus his $15 min wage is the real plan.
Small businesses collapse and have market share eaten up by bigger businesses who then have even more power in the labor market. They're fine paying pennies extra on their payroll tax overall, if it means they control the labor market. $15 may be min wage but good luck finding much higher than that before being an actual office lackey.

>>26289876
No it’s not 43% tax it’s 43% capital gains tax so you pay tax on 43% of your capital gains so 43% of 240k is 103k so you pay income tax on that. The tax rate is dependent on your tax bracket.
1 hours later 26291699 Anonymous

If capital gains count as income then it won't be taxed
>If you make 450k in short term gains this year, then 50k is taxed at 40%, the rest is taxed in the equivalent tax brackets as income
Like this, you would be taxed at top bracket and pay an additional capital gains tax

Welcome to economic eugenics.
Trying to escape irresolvable debt or comfortably raise a household of children? Taxed to death, you will receive a fraction of your wealth as credits and barely scrape by. Only people in the club will be allowed to keep their money and not live like slaves. You will be poor permanently, and your ability to have a family will be limited.
Trying to escape to another country? Global finance will ensure whatever safe havens exist are eradicated. Even what remains of China's nationalistic racial policies will soon be obliterated once the [BRAZILIANS] have had their fun with them.
Enjoy your status as a genetic posthuman battery for people who literally commune with demons and eat your children.
