Truly native Smart Contracts and DeFi on top of Bitcoin.
STX uses a new consensus mechanism called Proof of Transfer (PoX) which uses the bitcoin blockchain as a validation layer for the STX blockchain. Essentially, a STX "miner" will commit BTC to be burned in a transaction which, if selected, will serve as the validator of the next STX block and mint new STX as a reward. On the other end, STX stakers have a chance to receive the burned BTC as a reward for staking. This hasn't been done before.
PoX enables STX to leverage bitcoin chain security while also using it as a settlement layer. It's the first project to enable the possible of wrapped BTC assets that are fundamentally backed by the bitcoin chain itself.
What does this mean? It means we finally have an avenue to native DeFi and Smart Contracts on top of Bitcoin. I'm pretty sure I don't have to spell out what that could mean for ETH as this picks up steam.
I don't have a winner takes all mentality in the crypto ecosystem, at least in the short term, so I won't go as far as saying that BTC/STX wipes out ETH, but if there was ever a hedge against ETH as the future smart contract network, you really can't beat a BTC/STX position. No other network has native access to $700B of capital like STX does.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah thats actually why I slowed down getting into BTC. I was buying LINK, cause while it isnt cheap, I was hoping to be able to just hold onto it in the hopes that it blows up. Basically the mindset of "if I could get into BTC at 22 id be crazy not to." Pretty sure for each one of these 6 figure folios, there are 20 other bag holders.
I bought 20k link at 0.17 cents and then 200k PRQ at 3 cents which has sorted me out. Diversified into XCM and sold off half my link for stocks/shares.
I did however loose virtually everything from INT, TAU, KEY. Learned my lesson though. Only go near shit with working products (having a working Blockchain/mainet does not count!). It helps if the product is a use case which no one else has (think link, Prq etc).
The reason I'm also balls deep in xcm is because it's years ahead of others in terms of regulation and growing really well. Also it's cheap at the moment compared to something like BNB (which has fuck all regs but a massive user base). If coinbase had a coin to pay fees in, that would be the next best thing.
Last point, know you've probs seen alot of shit about RBC this week. Read everything I've said and then tell me whether you think going balls deep is a good idea...

My biggest wins were: HEX, TRB, BZRX (b4 hck), STAKE, I got a 10x out of almost all of those. Yes, I missed LINK... My total cost basis is prob 80k of the 360k over the three years.
