2021-01-18 09:08 26144049 Anonymous Why aren't more people doing crypto? (smin.jpg 200x356 11kB)
I am a huge newfag. By that I meant I started one week ago today. I put about 3k in and put money in Link (60%), GRT (20%), and Avax (20%). I've made a little over 1k so far. Why aren't more people doing crypto if the returns are this good. I understand the market falls, but if you just hodl you end up earning by the looks of it. So why don't more people do this? This seems genuinely to good to be true. I knew /biz/ existed for like 6 years now, but never went on it since I spent so much time shitposting on /pol/ and /b/ I feel like such a retard.

People are doing this they just do it in different forms. There's a shoe stock market ffs.

Normies just have no idea and don’t take major risk with finance. They literally have to be told to do it by family, news, or a famous person. It’s sad but true, a lot of people will miss out and the majority will buy when it’s to late.

>>26144049 It's new as all hell, hardly anyone knows about it and even less of those who know about it understand it. As all things, it will take time, that's why this is so amazing for us, because we get to be in EARLY. It's almost like you can't lose as long as you invest in any crypto that is actually useful. Only bad thing is that there are scams or just shitty projects. And GRT is not a scam, don't listen to that anon. I suggest you get in on PRQ.

>>26144049 If you want to keep the gains rolling, then read the whitepaper for DEXG. Also, as a tip: 80% Foundational Analysis 20% Technical Analysis Finding projects with strong foundations is like using a cheat code. You just hold for a while, then multiply your money. Rinse and repeat, and you get the 10x a year folio.

>>26144133 This, when it comes to people's money, either they don't have enough to invest, or they listen to "consensus" knowledge which is let money sit tight in a retirement account or a mortgage. Despite crypto getting a little media attention, it's very much outside the mainstream of investing.

>>26144416 On a more serious answer, reading the whitepaper puts you ahead of 95% of other investers. No I'm not joking. People either don't have the will, time, or know-how to read a whitepaper. While I am 100% in DEXG, I was in LGCY months ago. The thing they have in common are S-tier whitepapers. If you read the whitepaper, you can foresee the trajectory of the project. For LGCY, it amounts to this: "We are a fork of TRON that will be governed by the community. As many people are turned off of TRON by its shithead founder, we can bring the project forward by forking. In time, this will overtake TRON. Also, gas fees are solved by this project." That is STRONG foundations. Also, it helps that the team is not anonymous, so they can't P&D without a Monero hitman being sent after them. DEXG: "Lightyears ahead of other DEXes. Single-asset liquidity pools, strong founder, connections with legitimate projects, multiple peer-reviewed research papers for its automated market maker, etc. Also, limit orders and stop loss functions on a DEX. Also, supply is capped at 55k DEXG. No DEXG will ever be made again." This is ULTRA foundations, a project that has the potential to shake the crypto space up and enter the top 20. Read white papers guys, please.

>>26145315 Anytime you see a term come up more than once, google it. DEX = Decentralized Exchange CEX = Centralized Exhange Staking = Many different types, basically putting your coins into a contract for the promise of future returns. DEXG for example will have "stake in wallet" which means that for simply holding DEXG, you will get rewards. Not so simple for others I'm afraid. Oracles = CryptoCurrency networks that operates solely to validate information. For example, ChainLink brings information from the real-world onto the blockchain. It does this through a complex process of nodes voting. I am not an expert on this unfortunately. Defi = Decentralized Finance = Cryptocurrency = Shitcoins Gas = To use the etherium network, you need to spend etherium. There is a constantly fluctuating price for the cost of "gas". This is measured in gwei. Also, this can be seen as paying for processing power as the etherium network is a "decentralized supercomputer". Smart Contracts = Contracts on etherium = Code that runs on the etherium network. These take gas to use, but are trustless, meaning that you can't be cheated if the contract is sound.

I have tried to help friends and colleeges to invest into crypto. I have explained it to them and told them about risk and reward ratio. People don't seem to get it or think it's not worth it.
