How to deal with me not self improving because I'm scared I'm not strong enough to move forward and I will never become better or catch up with my peers?

You got it man. You don't have to wish like me. You have the privilege of asking for the first time. I've fucked up and then fucked up again. I *know* I can't do it and it drives me fucking insane.

>>22002853 Try and you might not succeed. Don't try and you will definitely not succeed.

>>22002853 Dude, unless you try your hardest every waking moment of your life, the only advice you'll get on this board is "Try harder".

>>22004054 TRY AGAIN but this time ask yourself: "how did i fail?". If you keep using the same strategy, theres a high chance that you will fail again, so develop a new strategy that deals with stuff that hinders you. For example, let say I want to exercise after I wake up ,but i already failed many times before. Therefore, this time I sleep in my gym clothes so i can exercise instantly after I rise from my comfy ass floor bed. (You get the point...) But most importantly, don't give up. Learn from your mistakes and keep trying.

>>22002853 Realise the fact that you DON’T want to improve yourself. You likely want to improve yourself because in the end you’ll be in a better position, but you need to get a grasp of the simple fact, you DON’T want to do it as well. It takes work to improve yourself, a lot of “I feel uncomfortable”, a lot of “I don’t know what to do”, things that you can avoid by not improving yourself. You both do and don’t want to improve yourself. Accept this. Once you have, then you’ll begin to improve.

>>22004185 >You both do and don’t want to improve yourself. Accept this. Once you have, then you’ll begin to improve. That's not necessarily true. I know I both do and don't want to improve myself, yet I haven't really started anything. Also, how is that supposed to work? >"I do and don't want to improve myself: might as well do some work I don't want to do"

>>22004185 very cool teenage wisdom that sounds deep and means nothing. >>22004238 op ignore social media telling you what to buy and who to be. ignore your friends and the shit they tell you about, you are only getting the best version of the story. you don't hear about elon's weird speech impedements, you don't hear about his divorces, you don't hear about how he barely spends time on his kids due to work and his wealth alienated him from a lot of people. you only hear the words billionaire, genius and spacex. the only person you should be comparing yourself to is 1. who you were yesterday and 2. the ultra successful version of yourself you imagine when you close your eyes and think. have you done something today to improve on who you were yesterday? then you are self improving. are you on the right path with the version of you you want to be? then you are improving in the right direction. what does the ultra successful you look like? what does he do for a living? what is his lifestyle like? what are his hobbies? social life? what does he care about? try to only focus on things that are attainable - you cannot change your height. this person will always be a dream until you take steps forward to fit into his shoes - and ironically you might learn that not only do the shoes not fit you might actually want a different pair. also remember: sometimes the most important step a man can take is the next one. you have to keep going forward and slogging through the bullshit because that's life and you only have one.
