I posted a week or so back asking about scholarships but my thread got deleted because the janny was a butthurt bitch. My OG question was how do I get extra money for scholarships? I filled out my FAFSA and since my parents are divorced and after some awesome loopholes in the law, my college will be approximately 100 dollars a month. My parents have plenty of money so that 100 isn't my problem. But how do I get excess money for college? My GPA was 2.4 so I don't qualify for shit. Is my best bet to maintain a 3.0 in college and then get the extra scholarship money after 1 to 2 semesters? And as I mentioned before I am black and gay so I qualify for a bunch of stuff. >inb4 larp incomes are filed as separate for divorced couples >inb4 get a job I don't want to work when my Dad already earns a ton of money. My dad is also taking money out of his to buy me a house in my name by 2021 and a car on my birthday but STILL insists on cucking me by refusing to give me extra money. STILL. I qualify for work study since I'm legally in poverty but as I said I don't want to be a wagecuckold.

>>21672888 The silver spoon in your mouth is hilarious because you're a spoiled shit but you only pulled off a 2.4. Amazing. Even with a red carpet rolled out you fuck it up. >I don't want a job! Sounds like someone who doesn't want money, then. Sell your body or pick up a talent and sell that. I don't know where your dumb ass expects money to come from. Since 2.4 GPA suggests your 'busy' time is actually just translated as 'whatever the fuck I want' time in your head, why not just start pounding off those online surveys? They're perfect for people with oodles of time, it's piss-easy, you require zero qualifications and you don't even have to get dressed to do it. Also, >I don't qualify for shit some twenty words later, >I qualify for a bunch of stuff Anyway, if you couldn't pull off 3.0 before I doubt you'll do it now but good luck and yeah, that's probably your option.

if anyone else wants to call me spoiled or some silver spoon BS. FUCK YOU. It's not my fault this POS of a country makes minorities to scavenge for the ability to afford college. It should be free like in actual first world countries like europe. No, but fucking white people would rather spend the money on bombing brown skinned people in the middle east

52 min later 21673046 Anonymous

>>21672888 i don’t understand this. you’re technically in poverty but your father is rich? if you’re father refuses to give you extra cash, then what else do you expect than to get a job or whatever else regular people do get money? You should think about why your father is refusing to give you money. I know exactly why from just reading your thread.

>>21673299 My father makes around 80k a year plus he has a lot of money to his name. My mother gets around 40k of disability payments but according to the government that doesn't count towards money earned. She is allowed to make up to around 54k before she loses her disability payments. However, regardless of how much she makes, as long as it stays under 55k something she only legally makes up to 16k dollars. Therefore, I live in poverty. Also, money that my father gives to her doesn't count towards that bill nor do his assets count because they're divorced. Long story short, I am poor in the governments eyes when filling out student loans.

If something happens to your parents do you have another path? have you hedged your bets? I used to be in a similar position to you financially, something expected suddenly happened and now my father is close to declaring bankruptcy. I’m lucky as i worked and hedged my bets, so i have cash to support myself and the whole family for a while. Better to be prepared than reactive.

>>21673362 Yes, while filling out the FAFSA they give you an option to link your tax returns from the IRS in order to speed up your time filling it out. I’m sorry... but I fail to see the issue with paying $800 for an entire year of college??? Do you realize how incredibly lucky you are? My family is paying ~$30,000/year and I had a 1390 SAT, a 29 ACT, and a 3.7 GPA, but unfortunately I’m in the upper middle class but not-too-upper middle class so I got barely anything in aid. Personally, you just sound like you need a reality check.
