Where do I even begin? >You dudes make great stuff from booze, anime, vidya, etc. >Your culture, while it has its flaws, is surprisingly efficient and very high trust with one another, which is almost extinct here >Your two big airlines, ANA and JAL, are fantastic >You do not take migrants and are racist, which is a good thing for me honestly, I respect that you care for your own people and land. >The transportation system is awesome >food is so damn good >I admire the blend of traditional buildings and monuments (like the one in your pic) and the high tech, modern equivalents But I dont like your passive aggressiveness and your work culture is shit and your americanized countrymen need to stop voting for democrats Overall I like you guys very much

Visited Tokyo last May. It definetly had that surreal vibe to it: neon lights, super clean, high technology, beautiful streets - it honestly felt like you were in a movie sometimes. The people were super polite and respectful. I felt bad for the workers though. They gave off a feeling they were scared to be different - all dressing the same and I saw so many people leave work super late only to go get shitfaced later. All in all, I am hoping to get to visit Kioto & Osaka sometime in the near future. Really liked the country.

Thank you for your reply. Certainly there are many people who are thin Since Japanese people feel stressed and living every day, the difference between a kind person and a person who is not so may be intense.

I hate what my country did to your country during WW2. I hate that we felt like we had to after Pearl Harbor. The bombing of Japan was a monstrous thing and I don't have enough words to show how sorry I am that we did such a terrible thing. On behalf of my country, I sincerely apologize. On the other hand, I'm glad that Japan has thrived despite that. I'm proud of you guys for creating so much good for the world. I'm also grateful that I grew up with a lot of Japanese influence. (Saturday morning cartoons were a childhood tradition in America, and a lot of them were made in Japan, so thank you for my happy childhood.)

>>21004146 Yeah man dont worry about it. One of these days I'd like to visit Tokyo and the whole rest of the country as well. Was also thinking of doing a Finisterra Trip Go from Fisterra, Spain to whatever is the easternmost point of Japan to admire both ends of the world

Relationships where people barely make contact, ridiculous work culture, overly quite in all situations (obviously its respectful in public, but all the time?), cuck ass weak men, too invested in how others perceive you. 7/10

>>21004178 Perhaps? I don't know. I wasn't alive then, so I don't have the context of the situation enough to know if there could have been other options available to do so. Either way, it's still a terrible thing that was done to many innocent people who had no say so in what was going on. It still feels bad.

Was stationed in yokosuka as a sailor. Loved the people, culture and food. Japan is my favorite place in the world and a great place to raise a family/live

Japan's a pretty cool place. Wouldn't want to live there, but still a nice society overall. Food is fantastic. Train system is cool I'm so-so about the "politeness" cause Japanese people tend to wear a lot of masks, which means you get a lot of fake personalities due to their huge rule-based society. They don't have to be like the French who don't give a shit, but it's almost like walking on eggshells at time. It's also pretty annoying when Japanese assume that if you don't speak Japanese, you speak English. I understand that English is a very popular language (and it is my native one) but still. There are literally hundreds of languages. It's also odd how a lot of the millennial and gen z demographic have such a disinterest in their own history. Also what is the deal with the molestation issue on the trains? >>21004156 Stop being such a cuck. Japan was out of control during WWII and committed some truly horiffic acts. You think the US would have chosen another option if they had that option? Of course they would. The man who created the atomic bomb immediately regretted the decision to make it in the first place. It really grinds me that people go all "Japan dindu nuffin." WWII was a terrible war where no one was the good guy and everyone lost. Anyways. Japan's pretty cool. They got their issues like any (first world) country, but as of right now, they're mostly doing right.

>>21004230 If you had read further down, you'd have seen that I agree with you about the outcome being more good than bad, especially when the other option was for them to be taken over by the other side of the war. I never said "Japan dindu nuffin", but the fact remains that a lot of people were smeared off the map who were innocent and had no control or power over the acting parties in power. Ego is worthless - I have no problem putting it down to apologize. This doesn't make me a cuck. It makes me human.

LOSERS from our country want to impregnate you and mate you their slave. Know that they aren't wanted by their 'own' white kind and they don't want to enslave you, they want to own you forever because you are secondary to white girls they wanted ( I have witnessed this first person), but could never get. You're welcome. Go for an Asian man, they love you.

As a half Japanese American who frequents the country I love Japan with all my heart. I honestly fear for it's future though as I feel like the country has a very bad case of 平和ボケand I worry that it might not survive the way the world is moving in the coming years. I do think that the younger generation need to have a stronger voice when it comes to work culture as I feel the seniority system gets horribly abused there. But I love our culture and even if they're a little naive I love the heart of the people there. I really do hope Japan thrives through whatever hardships might come
