Well here we are again. It's the end of another semester and I have not met or even talked to a single girl. For context: >senior undergraduate >major in biochemistry minor in mathematics, certs for biotechnology >in spare time I exercise, practice guitar, play games, and read more these days >average appearance but 5'7" >in-shape though not buff I'll be honest, I have no clue how to meet girls or start conversations without it being awkward. There was this one cute girl in my calculus lecture who sat near me literally every day and I never spoke a word to her even though I wanted to. How and when is it appropriate to start talking to a girl you're interested in without being viewed as a creep? I have male friends but no female friends.

If you're in class, talk about the assignments and ask her what she thinks about it. You go to let them do most of the talking.

>>20367225 When I've done it in the past I've gotten short responses and basically nothing to go off of. I get the feeling this is my fault somehow.

>>20367268 You have to ask them open ended questions, not just " did you do the homework?". It's mostly luck though, some will like you, some won't.

>>20367397 Yeah I try to keep things open-ended, or tried in the past. I don't try to talk to girls at all anymore because I expect awkwardness and rejection. Maybe I should just try more and let pic related be my guide?

>>20367419 You need to talk to them to try to date them. You're going to fail a lot, that's the truth. I recommend work on your insecurities and try to have a stable job and social circle before trying to date.

>>20367451 Other guys have neither a stable job nor are social climbers. People start dating in high school, there's no way I should need to wait until then when my trajectory in life is pretty good.

>>20366994 You know what’s missing in all of that OP? >money Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll get more ass that a toilet seat in your late 20s 30s.

>>20367977 >>20367999 OP here. I noticed this too and have been too lazy to change it. If it's on accident then it's pretty fucking ironic. >>20368020 You got me there. Tons of wealthy international students in the biochem and math departments. Lot of disgustingly spoiled girls in both. I feel like my relative poverty has created a healthy separation between myself and the status-obsessed people. Only problem is that seems to be everybody.
